Black rice combats cancer

The black rice, a grain revered for centuries in China and little esteemed in the West, is the super-food to combat cancers. It is a scientific survey conducted revealed the Louisiana State University U.S., who summarized the key to effectiveness. It’s full of plant fiber, low sugar and filled with antioxidants.

The low-sugar cereal, but full of healthy fiber and plant compounds is ideal for combating heart disease and cancer.

Scientists from Louisiana State University indicated that they analyzed samples of black rice bran, cultivated in southern United States and found high levels of antioxidants. Anthocyanins provide the dark color of many fruits and vegetables like blueberries and red peppers and that is what makes the rice be black.”

The antioxidants in dark plants clean the harmful molecules and thus protect arteries and prevent DNA damage that can cause cancer.

Just a spoonful of black rice bran contains more antioxidants anthocyanin than a spoonful of cranberries, but with less sugar and more fiber and vitamin E. If the berries are used to enhance the health, why not use the black rice and black rice bran? Especially the black rice bran would be a unique and economic material to increase the intake of antioxidants that promote health.

Some experts say the brown rice is more nutritious than white rice because it has higher levels of healthy compounds and antioxidants vitamin E but the black rice is even more healthy.
