Eating black chocolate once or twice a week, no more, can be good to reduce the chances of heart problems.
But these benefits are canceled for those who consume chocolate daily.
Eating too much chocolate can be harmful and damaging to health. But the black chocolate can also be good in some cases.
The journal of the Association of American Heart published a study where the habits of 32,000 Swedish women between 48 and 83 years were follow for nine years.
The professionals concluded that eating between 19 and 30 grams of black chocolate weekly generates a 32% reduction in the risk of problems such as heart failure or heart attacks, high blood pressure, coronary artery disease or cardiomyopathy.
Chocolate contains a high concentration of compounds called ‘flavonoids’ that can help lower blood pressure and protect the heart from disease.
