She slipped a bit during her walk in her gown. It wasn't enough to make her fall, but the Donald Trump's producers made sure you saw it again in slo-mo while Joan Rivers carped about it, as if to nudge YouTube into action.
In the end, Miss Michigan Rima Fakih took the crown anyway, after answering a question over whether birth control pills should be covered by health insurance ("Absolutely!").
It's the slips on the runway or controversey in the topical questions that has created whatever little interest there still is in this pageant, so in addition to the heavy wax on the stage of the Planet Hollywood, there were some pretty pointed questions, the first of which from Oscar Nunez of "The Office" was about the new Arizona law about demanding IDs from anybody suspected to be illegal aliens that drew boos even while he was asking it.
It went to the person who became the first runner up, Miss Oklahoma Morgan Woolard, who got cheers when she said, "I'm a huge believer of states's rights. That's what I think is so wonderful about America. So I think it's perfectly fine for Arizona to create that law."
To this she quickly added: "And I'm against illegal immigration but I'm also against racial profiling, so I see both sides in this issue."
