SHAH ALAM: Now in its fourth Ramadan in Section 13 near the Shah Alam Stadium, the Papa John stall remains popular among many preparing to break fast.

While stall owner Tasminah Udin's five workers feverishly cooked roti john for customers, the queue remains long under the searing late afternoon sun.

“The line is so long other traders are complaining my customers are blocking their stalls," she said.

"This year, I traded places with a friend to get a corner lot. I hope to get a corner lot next year.”

Tasminah, 55, uses fresh minced beef, chicken and mutton blended with spices. Instead of normal buns, she uses sesame seed buns. It got customers lining for the long sliced bread with egg and minced meat.

For roti john with either beef, chicken and mutton the price is RM3.50.

Tasminah charges RM7.50 for the roti john which has all three meats — chicken, beef and mutton mixed together.

Outside the Ramadan period, she continues to sell her roti john around Shah Alam throughout the year.
