Batu Sapi candidates begin wooing voters

SANDAKAN (Oct 27, 2010): Batu Sapi candidates are visiting wet markets, business premises and making house calls as campaigning for the by-election enters day two.

Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Datin Linda Tsen Thau Lin began her day visiting Bandar Ramai-Ramai and Bandar Nam Tung and will meet voters at Pasar Kim Fung, Bandar Hing Loong and Taman Mawar in the afternoon.

She was accompanied by BN election deputy director Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman, Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Peter Pang En Yin and other BN leaders.
Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) candidate Datuk Yong Teck Lee visited Tanah Merah wet market at 7.30am accompanied by his election machinery.

Yong who is also SAPP president opened a voter reference counter not far from a similar counter opened by the MCA.

He bumped into Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) candidate Ansari Abdullah who arrived with a group led by party president Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

PKR will campaign in Kampung Bahagia tonight as it tries to woo voters staying of Pulau Timbang, MPS and Karamunting Flats.

Sabah Wanita Umno chief Datuk Armani Mahiruddin made door-to-door visits in Kampung Gas starting at 10am to garner support for the BN candidate. — Bernama
