Kota Kinabalu: City Hall, which has finalised its parking rate review, will likely have it enforced earlier in November.
Mayor, Datuk Abidin Madingkir, said the new structured rates - which
will come with a 30 per cent discount - will still require the State
Cabinet's endorsement. This comes after his announcement last month
that City Hall is conducting a two-month review over the issue.
"We will announce the parking structures at the nearest time, we have
completed the new structure and will present it to the Cabinet.
"We expect the Cabinet would respond to us by end of this month
(October) and we will announce it the soonest thereafter," Madingkir
said.
He said the press would be invited for the announcement to ensure it
will be well publicised and to ensure the public is aware and clear on
the new parking rate structures.
