Who Is PSY?

Known in the K-Pop world as PSY, Park Jae Sang was born on December 31, 1977 and was a controversial, underground South Korean hip-hop artist. While his albums have won him some critical praise, and his satirical slant on the state of K-Pop has won him fans and appearances on television, his music has been on the fringe due to what the authorities cite as ‘inappropriate content.' His first album got him fined, and his second was banned. That being said, from 2001 to 2006, Park Jae Sang released three albums. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide
